Our group specializes in pioneering nanomaterials for electrochemical energy storage, focusing on novel battery concepts and deployment. Their work spans beyond traditional lithium-ion systems, exploring flexible batteries, supercapacitors, and high-temperature Li/Na-ion technologies using stable electrolytes and separators.  Our lab is known for  foundational work on “paper batteries,” also known as nano-composite papers, which are thin, flexible, and potentially biodegradable energy storage devices. Currently, our group has also initiated studies on the development of low-temperature batteries to operate at sub-zero temperatures.
