We have over the years on developing nanostructures for electronic/optical devices. Some of these devices include interconnects, sensors and plasmonic devices. The fundamental understanding of transport behavior in nanostructures, the interaction of nanostructures with light, opto-electronic and magneto-electronic properties of nanostructures etc., are of interest to us. We have worked on the electronic and optical properties of carbon nanotubes, graphene and other 2D atomic layers. In addition to electronic and optical properties we are also interested in solutions to problems that impact the electronics technology, such as on-chip thermal management. The following themes represent some of our ongoing interest in electronic and optical properties of nanostructures.
